Hi all,

I am writing to you as a member of the Dalriada Festival Rowing committee to ask you as club secretary to pass on this info to your club members.

• The Fundraising Virtual Row has been confirmed for Saturday 16th June. It will take place in the centre of Victoria square. The virtual event will raise funds for the RNLI with members of the Larne & Red bay lifeboat with us on the day. It will also raise the profile of the upcoming Dalraida festival as there will be extensive media coverage of the event. The event will consist of two teams one from N Ireland and one team over from Scotland racing each other on the concept 2 machines to cover the distance across the Irish sea. There will be large TV screens showing the two teams racing to complete the distance. Please encourage your members to come up and take part in this event. If you could draw up a list of those interested in your club and forward them to myself or another member of the Dalriada committee please.

• The Dalraida Festival Rowing Regatta is taking place on 21st July with entries already received from Scottish and Irish teams. Please remember that the closing date for entries is the 1st June ( one week away) so please gather up your crew entries and send them in. If you require an entry pack please visit www.dalriadafestival.co.uk & click on competitor registration or send me an email and I can send one through. There will be a free BBQ and live music in the evening following the regatta.
