The next St Ayles skiff racing will be at LOCH BROOM SKIFF REGATTA on 11TH AND 12TH AUGUST 2012. Ullapool Coastal Rowing Club are looking forward to welcoming skiffs from all over Scotland to their sheltered loch. This is a great chance for clubs, crews and rowers to have a look at the venue for the First St Ayles Skiff World Championships, which are to be held here in July 2013.
There is no limit on number of entries for this regatta, but the organisers want to hear from clubs with an indication of how many skiffs and rowers will be arriving. Full details available at Ullapool Coastal Rowing Club website, or on their facebook page. Skiffies will enjoy the evening ceilidh, and would be well advised to save a little bit of energy for the dancing.
The course is approximately 3km in a triangle. The start will be off the beach below West Shore St, with the boat being held. Supporters and curious bystanders will, as ever, be made very welcome.
The Loch Broom Skiff Regatta will be followed by skiff racing at Cumbrae Sail and Oar on 18 August, Dunbar on 25 August and North Berwick on 1 September.
