A closing date of 26 August has been set for entries to the North Berwick Regatta on 1 September. So far 10 skiffs are committed to attending (including two from the hosts) and a running total of entries is being posted on www.nbrowingclub.com , where further details of the regatta can be found. As in previous years the course is round Craigleith Island, a distance just short of two miles, which gives times of between 18 and 25 minutes, depending on conditions. In additon to usual open and age group categories, entries are invited for “mixed novice” crews, being made up of two men and two women none of whom have previously won a rowing race in a regatta. An encouraging development which will allow more rowers to enjoy the sweet taste of victory, or at least enjoy being in with a bit more of a shout!

As you would expect there will be a party on the Saturday night, and that will be followed by a fishing expedition on the Sunday. More details from the hosts through their website.
