The Portsoy Skiffettes are opening their building shed up for Aberdeenshire’s doors open day on Sunday 15 September. Members of the public can go along and see how this group of female boat builders are getting on with their St Ayles skiff build. You can also see a set of oars being crafted with drawknives. A perfect chance for folk from neighbouring Aberdeenshire villages to find out what they should be getting up to next winter.
The building shed is in the PORT Building (Portsoy Organisation for Restoration and Training) beside the Shore Inn at the Shorehead of the Old Harbour , Portsoy. Doors are open from 10am to 4pm.
