Umpire Training Course

SCRA are running an Umpire Training Course alongside the Gallagher Heath St Ayles Regatta at Castle Semple Loch on Saturday 27th October.  There will be a guide through the SCRA rules of racing, and plenty of practical experience in the course of the regatta.

The ability to umpire is very important to ensure fair, safe and enjoyable racing.  One of the strengths of Scottish Coastal Rowing is that plenty of rowers are happy to have a turn at umpiring, and we want to keep encouraging that.  It is essential that we can respect the decisions of umpires, and it is easier to understand that once you have had a go at both roles!

Anyone interested in joining the course should please e mail secretary@scottishcoastalrowing.org .  We will accomodate as many enthusiasts as we can, but may have to limit on a first come, first serve basis.
