The next St Ayles Skiff World Championships will be held in 2016, probably during July. Â No one who was there will ever forget the fantastic time that was had by all at the 2013 Championships in Ullapool. Â
Seven crews drawn from the local community competed for North Berwick’s Trades cup this year.  The record entry featured teams from Foxlake Adventures,  The Space Skatepark, Knowes Farm Shop, The Lifeboat,  Humble Pie Cookschool, The Rugby Club and Big Boat
Ullapool, Stornoway and Row Porty recently took their skiffs over to Shawbost on the west side of Lewis. Â The local community there is going to build a St Ayles skiff, and the visit was to give locals a taster
Ullapool High School pupils recently rowed at the Summer Isles as part of their John Muir Award.  Here are a couple of pupil accounts. “On Thursday the 22nd of May, my classmates and I went skiff rowing for our first time.

The Isle of Luing launched their St Ayles skiff “Hinba” on 24 May 2014. “Hinba” Â is an island in Scotland of unknown location that was the site of a small monastery associated with the Columban church on Iona.

The 2014 Annan Raid on England went off well. Â The weather was a bit tough, especially for the slightly more mature marauders, but they managed it! Â Three boats took part in what we hope will become an annual event.
