Project Launch
The Crew from Methil Sea Cadets practicing. Two of the crew had not rowed the St Ayles before the big day.
Under a brilliant blue sky. the first St Ayles Skiff was officially revealed to the world at the Scottish Fisheries Museum. Initially crewed by cadets and adult staff from Methil Sea Cadets, she was introduced by Dr Robert Prescott, Chairman of National Historic Ships and Honorary Vice President of the Scottish Fisheries Museum.
After the brief introduction, various crews from around Scotland took her for a test row, and all came back to the beach with positive or even ecstatic reaction to her qualities.
The pictures speak for themselves, and more are expected from other snappers who were there. With luck, there will be some video of her on YouTube later on Sunday.
