New Rowing Club for Cumbrae

Scotland’s newest rowing club is Cumbrae Coastal Rowing Club formed on 30 september 2012.  The club have been passed ownership of their St Ayles skiff “Cumbrae” following a fundraising drive to purchase the boat, which was build on the Island.  The Isle of Cumbrae sits in the Firth of Clyde, 15 minutes row from Largs.  The club will organise the rowing racing at next years Sail and Oar Festival on Cumbrae, due to take place on 10 and 11 August 2013

    Good luck to “Cumbrae” and the new rowing club. I am only slightly biased but we do have the nicest skiff and the best rowing waters anywhere.
