Castle to Crane Race Date: 15 September 2018

We are delighted to be able to report that the Castle to Crane Race will return on 15 September 2018.  The race took place for the first time in 2017 where more than 400 crew members took to 74 coastal rowing boats, including Yoals from Shetland, Skiffs from Scotland, a gig from England, Curraghs from Ireland, a Hebridean Birlinn, and skiffs from Northern Ireland and the Netherlands, raced the 13 mile course from Dumbarton to Glasgow City Centre.

It is by a long way the biggest open water rowing race ever to have been held in Scotland.  The feedback from those who took part in 2017 was overwhelmingly in favour of recommending the race to others………..  so we very much hope to welcome some new faces and boats to the Clyde in 2018, as well as welcoming back many of those who want to have another go at the challenging and historic course.

Make sure this is one of your must do races for 2018, and that it goes into your diary now!
