Beautiful Loch Katrine is Venue for Freshwater Sprints

The 2015 SCRA Freshwater Sprints will be held at Loch Katrine in the Trossachs.  The Loch has been the drinking water supply for the city of Glasgow since the Nineteenth Century and is rarely used for recreational events.  It is a real privilege to be able to use this beautiful stretch of clear water for an event like ours.  We thank Scottish Water and The Steamship Sir Walter Scott Ltd, with the assistance of  the Steam Boat Association of Great Britain (Scottish Branch), for enabling us to hold the event at Loch Katrine.

As last year, the sprints will be contested by regional teams. We are hoping that the regional teams will be made up of members from every club in each region.  Each club will be wanting to send a delegate to the AGM, held in Callender on the evening after the racing.  Clubs should let the regional captains know the names of those who wish to compete, as well as the categories for which those individuals qualify.  Please see the Freshwater Sprints Notice of Race 2015  for more information.  Picture linked from Visit Scotland website:
