The email below was circulated to most clubs a couple of days ago, so just in case you didn’t hear about it…
There have been some discussions about having a non competitive event as a change from the normal regattas.
One possibility is a row up the River Tweed, on a rising tide, from Berwick/Tweedmouth to have a picnic lunch at Paxton House and return to Berwick – going with the flow, later in the afternoon.
Paxton house have expressed interest and we have tentatively pencilled in Sunday Sept 25th as high water is 2.00pm.
There is enough room for about 15 skiffs to beach below the house so no restrictions on there being just the one boat from each club and it would be possible for diferent crews to do the row up and row down river. Other friends/relatives could come along by road to Paxton and join in the event.
